Charges
I will always give you an estimate for the service required before or at our meeting and prior to carrying out any work. I am not VAT registered and therefore no VAT is added. Payment may be made by card at the appointment. My charges will vary depending on the work that is required, but as a general guideline these are:-
One standard document - £100
Each additional document at the same visit as the first document - £20
Liaising with a Consular Agent regarding the issue of an apostille by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office - £50
Any standard additional work to verify Academic Certificates or correspondence with other Lawyers or third parties - £20 - £50
Additional charges or expenses:-
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office current charge for each Apostille is £45.00.
Fees are often charged by third parties for verification of Academic Certificates. Current charges are around £10.00/£20.00.
Consular agents will charge for handling the document to obtain an apostille and return delivery by DHL. If you wish me to make the application to the consular agents, I will obtain a quote in advance.
Postage. I usually send any documents by Royal Mail Special Delivery and their current cost will be payable by you.
A weekend appointment is usually an additional £50 but I will confirm this with you when booking the appointment.
